Watching elite athletes perform, it can be difficult to wrap your head around the thought that they all started somewhere. For Nick Mathew, that competitive journey started right here at Granite Games, in the 2017 Team of 3 AsRx division.
His hard work since then is evident, climbing the ranks to individual competition and wrapping this weekend just 3 points out of the top 5 finishers. Nick turns his eyes next to the “Last Chance” Qualifier at the end of June in a bid to break through to his first CrossFit Games appearance.
Judging by the amount of community love at his back during Granite Games weekend, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy. Go get ‘em, Nick, and we’ll see you back under the lights at Granite Games soon!
