The Granite Games is dedicated to honoring the spirit of fitness that resides in athletes of all skill levels. Because of this, we need to offer a range of divisions as varied as the athletes competing in them. So many, in fact, that it can be a bit daunting trying to narrow the pack to find your perfect match. And hey, we hear you.

Who has the time? That’s why we’ve put together this comprehensive guide to help match you up with your perfect division.

*The Granite Games reserves the right to offer wild card spots through invitations to any athlete in any division it so chooses.

Individual

The Pro Division is by qualification through the Granite Games Qualifier or through invite. This division showcases athletes who have achieved a benchmark status in the fitness realm. Top-tier professional athletes from across the globe can be found in the Pro Division. Those who rank amongst the TOP 35 MEN and TOP 35 WOMEN in the Granite Games Qualifier will advance to the Pro Division.

Teenage

The Teen Divisions are designed to showcase the future of the Granite Games. These athletes should have a solid foundational knowledge of functional movement.

All athletes wishing to compete in the Individual Teen Divisions will need to qualify through the Granite Games Qualifier. After completing a series of workouts, athletes who rank in the top 10 of the 14-15 and 16-18 age categories of the Granite Games Qualifier will advance to compete at the Granite Games.

TEEN 14-15

All athletes wishing to compete in the 14-15 division will need to qualify through the online Qualifier. At the end of the Qualifier, the top 10 boys and 10 girls will receive an invite to compete as a Granite Games Teen 14-15 Individual.

Masters

These divisions are designed for mature athletes who are anything but over the hill. These 35+ athletes bring experience and a lifelong passion for fitness to the competition floor. If you’re over 35, serious about your fitness, and believe you’re only as old as you feel, this is your division!

MASTERS 35-39

All athletes wishing to compete in the 35 – 39 division will need to qualify through the Granite Games Qualifier.  At the end of the Granite Games Qualifier, the top 10 men and 10 women will receive an invite to compete as a Granite Games Master 35-39 Individual.

MASTERS 40-44

All athletes wishing to compete in the 40 – 44 division will need to qualify through the Granite Games Qualifier.  At the end of the Granite Games Qualifier, the top 10 men and 10 women will receive an invite to compete as a Granite Games Master 40-44 Individual.

MASTERS 45-49

All athletes wishing to compete in the 45 – 49 division will need to qualify through the Granite Games Qualifier.  At the end of the Granite Games Qualifier, the top 10 men and 10 women will receive an invite to compete as a Granite Games Master 45-49 Individual.

MASTERS 50-54

All athletes wishing to compete in the 50 – 54 division will need to qualify through the Granite Games Qualifier.  At the end of the Granite Games Qualifier, the top 10 men and 10 women will receive an invite to compete as a Granite Games Master 50 – 54 Individual.

MASTERS 55-59

All athletes wishing to compete in the 55 – 59 division will need to qualify through the Granite Games Qualifier.  At the end of the Granite Games Qualifier, the top 10 men and 10 women will receive an invite to compete as a Granite Games Master 55 – 59 Individual.

MASTERS 60+

All athletes wishing to compete in the 60+ division will need to qualify through the Granite Games Qualifier.  At the end of the Granite Games Qualifier, the top 10 men and 10 women will receive an invite to compete as a Granite Games Master 60+Individual.

These athletes have a passion for functional fitness and can complete benchmark WODs AsRx and are pushing the boundaries into becoming a professionally competitive athlete.

NOTE: All weights listed are to be considering working weight, not a 1 rep max:

  • Snatch (185 lbs, 120 lbs)
  • Clean & Jerk (245 lbs, 165 lbs)
  • Skill proficiency is great in: C2B Pull Ups, Double Unders, Toes to Bar & capable of performing high skill movements (i.e. Muscle Ups, Handstand Walks, etc.)

AsRx 3-athlete teams (same gender) should be comprised of athletes who completed the Granite Games Qualifier. Team of 3 rankings are determined based on all 3 athletes’ combined scores. These athletes have a passion for functional fitness and can complete benchmark WODs AsRx.

NOTE: All weights listed are to be considering working weight, not a 1 rep max:

  • Snatch (155 lbs, 105 lbs)
  • Clean & Jerk (225 lbs, 155 lbs)

Scaled Teams of 3 will have the opportunity to register during the Open Registration period.  These athletes share a common goal of functional fitness and are working toward mastering their skills. They are likely new to competing and are looking forward to the challenge of competition.
