About the Championship

The Kill Cliff Granite Games is more than a fitness competition,

it’s a true test of grit, determination, and spirit.

Individuals, Teams of 4, and Teams of 3 go head to head in various divisions, vying for a spot a top the podium. See Divisions & Standards to see the breakdown.

New this year – the top Male and Female Individual Pro Finishers, as well as the top placed Team of 4 will move on the compete at the 2019 CrossFit Games.

The Open

The rank athletes receive during the Granite Games Open determines whether they qualify to compete as an Individual.

Invitations

Specific athletes will receive invites to compete in the Pro Individual division based on their participation at the CrossFit Games and prior Granite Games.
These individuals do NOT have to participate in the Granite Games Open.

How to Compete on a Team

To compete at the 2019 Championship you have to qualify through participation in one of the following:

  • Throwdown
  • The Granite Games Open
  • Receive an invitation
  • Open registration

The Throwdown

The top 15 Teams of 3 in the Intermediate Men’s, Intermediate Women’s, Scaled Men’s, or Scaled Women’s division.

The Open

Once the Granite Games Open leaderboard has been finalized, starting April 24th, 2019, athletes will have the opportunity to create teams with other athletes.

Important Details

Team Captain

One athlete, designated as the Team Captain, will register your Team of 3 or Team of 4. By selecting athlete names, they’ll be able to create your team, and all individual athlete scores from the Granite Games Open will be combined to make your team score.

Selection

Athletes may only be selected to compete on a team once and may not participate in both team divisions.

Team of 3 Captains have between 8pm on 4/24 and 10am 4/26 to create your team

Team of 4

Team of 4 Captains have between 8pm on 4/24 and 10am 4/30 to create your team

Ranking

On their respective deadlines, teams will be ranked based on their combined team scores.

Invitations

Specific teams will receive invites to compete in the Team of 4 division based on their participation at the CrossFit Games and prior Granite Games.
These individuals do NOT have to participate in the Granite Games Open.
